is 88 old?

An elderly man recently diagnosed with a brain tumor leaped to his death from a vintage airplane he rented to celebrate his 88th birthday...

figure out when to have your midlife crisis by taking the death test.

i am supposed to live to be 70. hmm. i think i can beat that.

today i met a hobbit.

Work tonight was less than favorable. Just moments after arriving i began having catostrophic equipment failure. The photos are ok. not great, but not as bad as i was expecting.

Despite this all, there was a good thing. one of my congressmen introduced me to this guy because his wife is from Arkansas. this guy is a hobbit, but more importantly he was Mikey Walsh, the star of The Goonies.

how awesome is that?

which Goonie are you? take the quiz.

i was "the mouth."

ADULTS ONLY

ok so Lowy introduced me to his favorite website and in a fit of sheer boredom (and an effort to prove my fearlessness), i decided to do my part.

i have to write all of these responses down. this stuff is classic.
now vote, am i the lamest, most ridiculous guy you know, or do i still need to try harder?

GO VOTE FOR ME!!!

PS. Steve pointed out that it isn't really fair that people vote for me, because it's not really my goods, but i think that is irrelevent. i want a high score so help me out here.

Bo knows...

The other day Lauren sent me to a press conference to photograph 48-year-old, sexy horse owner/actress/model Bo Derek who came to US Congress to support legislation that would ban the killing of horses for gourmet dining overseas. (March 18, 2004)

thanks Lauren.

Bo facts anyone?

her birthname is Mary Cathleen Collins. what a nice name. why wouldn't she want to use that?
she has 2 younger sisters (and a brother) and is most famous for her roles in "10" (1979 with Dudley Moore) and as Jane in "Tarzan the Ape Man" (1981).
She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Kennedy Center, appointed by the President.

Always an animal lover, she started a company to make canine care products. She said "My dogs always slept on my bed so you certainly want them to be clean and smell nice. That was my goal in developing these products. To me, the phrase 'man's best friend' is no exaggeration. My dogs have given me so much happiness, love and companionship over the years, I wanted to give them my best in return. That's why I spent the last four years developing and fine tuning a unique line of the finest pet care products."

ok, so what is the verdict? is this old lady still hott (she is the one on the right)?

like a little tractor...

it seems i have been gone for a while, but now i am back for a bit. as a cat might say i've been "busy as a little tractor" shooting for these guys and trying to get my images together to send to these guys.

all of the sudden i seem to have not enough time. oh wait, i have always felt that way. am i rushed or am i slow?

probably a bit of both.

my dad had emergency gal bladder surgery. it was so big they had to take it out in pieces. yowsa.

also i'm here slow jammin' to The Aquarium on the CD. you haven't heard the CD yet, cause it isn't really out, but trust me on this one. it's awesome. you will want it in your heavy rotation. email the huddo and ask him how you can get your NOW!
The Aquarium is supposed to be on WRGW right now, but i can't find what their # is. i can however watch the in studio on their LIVE CAMERA streaming web feed.

good times.

now back to my printing task.

http://www.mulletjunky.com

i discovered another mullet site, and while i MULLED throw it's collection, i found THIS...

tatooskull.jpg

It is one of the most amazing/disturbing things i can recently recall. this was the text with it.

I have no fear of the mullet. I only fear mulletude. However, this skullet I do fear. So should you.

Examine this skullet carefully. The intricacies of this mullet's "concept" are very telling. Elaborate, complex thought and magnificent skill were required. (For example, notice the precise cutting that took place to create the "mustache/mouth" illusion) Also note that this is a skullet, not a more common Bullet/Forceskullet. He has purposely mullded his plumage in this exact manner. This fact demonstrates a powerful desire to attain this specific VISION. This suggests an alternate purpose behind this mullet. He is working on mulltiple levels. Also, note his location in this pic. Sturgis, South Dakota. The Mecca of Mulletude. Annually, mulltitudes of mullets make their pilgrimage to this location. Humankind, right before your eyes and at this very moment, you are witnessing documentation of the recruiting/preaching/gathering of HIS disciples/followers. The Pope...Beware! Your days are numbered. Bow down before the new MULLSIAH!

luke vs. owen

ok so i mentioned to a friend that i was going to go to starsky and hutch and she made some googley comment about Owen Wilson and her "major crush on him."
i reply, yeah, you and half the planet.
she replies, nope everyone likes his brother.
so i reply, who is his brother?
she points him out, and i've seen that guy, but who likes that guy? so i ask a few other people and the one response i've gotten so far is in favor of Luke.

WEIRD!!! who would like that guy more than Owen?

cast your votes people. choose your side. this is the question of the day!!!
LUKE or OWEN???

blog entry 100!!! The whole truth and nothing but...

So Pitchfork posted a blurb about Decahedron, but they got a lot of it wrong. it is funny, but still wrong.
The band was formed by Shelby Cinca and Clark Sabine (formerly of Motor Cycle Wars). It was their brainchild, born on the sandy shores of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. i know because i was there. Clark practically moved in with us while they created. Then Jason joined in. Then Clark and Jason began working together, had a falling out, Shelby decided to stick with his longtime bandmate Jason. Eventually Joe Lally of Fugazi fame came into the picture. They decided to be a band, then Jason went to Europe with , and they got it right from there.
Johnathon is on bass now and the band will rawk your socks off.
Check them out next at South By Southwest in Austin.

i wonder if Senator Kerry plays golf?

on "Super Tuesday" i wound up at John Kerry's rally at the OPO in WDC.
do you think this guy can become our President? i like him, but honestly i have my doubts. i saw how people where about Clinton in Arkansas during his first campaign, and in WDC during his 2nd campaign, and there was sooo much energy. i didn't feel that at tuesday's rally. hopefully it will pick up speed as the campaign gets moving.

*fingers crossed*

if not, maybe i'll give up this political photography thing, and start shooting golf. At least Mianne Bagger seems interesting to me. i wonder if she needs a personal photographer.
